Tackling health inequalities

Health Lottery London West exists to tackle health inequalities across its region. It raises money to help reduce health inequalities across its region. It does this by running a society lottery and working collaboratively with independent charity, People's Health Trust, to develop local interventions.

We donate the good causes funds we raise to People's Health Trust, who invests these in communities wishing to make their neighbourhoods even better places to grow, live, work and age.

This grant making trust funds local people who have great ideas about how they can make their neighbourhoods even better places to grow, live, work and age.

Parenting Special Children will organise five peer support groups, each covering a different area of Berkshire, so the same people can meet regularly over the period of the project. The support groups will provide social and networking opportunities for the families with a view to reducing the social or emotional isolation they might experience.
